When does your season begin?

Our new league model calls for a season kickoff in March 2010.

How many teams are planned for your inaugural season?

There will be 8 strategically located teams located in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia.

How long will the UNGL season be?

4 week preseason, 10 regular season games, playoffs, and championship game.

How many players will be on a roster?

Each team will draft 70 players to start training camp, and then reduced to 48 players for regular season.

How does a free agent player get a tryout with the UNGL?

You must attend (at least one) of our regional tryout mini camps. At these camps, players that are judged as "top performers" will have their names entered into our free agent draft pool for our 2010 draft.

Is it possible for me to just tryout individually for one of the UNGL teams?

No, you must attend our regional tryout mini camp for a chance to qualify for our draft pool. The team you play for will be the one that you are drafted by. You cannot just tryout for one team.

How much will players be paid?

During training camp each player will be paid $375 per week, $750 during regular season.

Do players need to find housing?

No, the UNGL will make arrangements for housing and will provide a contact person for players to reach. All players, though, will be responsible for their own housing expense.

Are players responsible for game travel and hotel accommodation costs during season?

No. UNGL will assume travel costs for flights, busing and hotel costs for all Teams travel.

Will players receive per diem while on the road for away games?

Yes. Players will receive per diem while on the road.

What equipment will the UNGL supply for the players on a UNGL team roster?

The UNGL will supply players with helmets, shoulder pads, hip, tailbone, thigh and knee pads, practice pants, practice jerseys, game pants and game jerseys.

How much will the cost of game tickets be?

The cost of tickets will be between $10 - $15.

What are your rules like?

The UNGL will follow standard, professional rules and guidelines almost identical to that of the NFL.

Why is the UNGL still the league of choice?

The UNGL is a professional league designed to develop the best talent for professional football, specifically the NFL and the CFL. This league creates the only realistic opportunity for players to showcase their talent, receive realistic opportunities, all while learning the skills and professionalism that it takes to be a professional athlete in today’s game. The UNGL will give the players the true exposure they seek in order to further their professional careers.
