All audition fees paid are non-refundable as well as non-transferable. Fees submitted are for the selected audition only, and may not be used for any other audition or UNGL event or product.
All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from our audition.
All participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements. For those requiring an overnight stay, the UNGL can recommend certain hotel properties in the area that have offered preferred, discounted rates to our audition attendees.
Candidates must be the required minimum age of 18 years old on the date of auditions. No dance experience is required to audition for the UNGL Cheerleader/Dance teams. All candidates have equal opportunity to participate in our auditions.
Dance Attire Requirements
All participants must wear proper dance attire for the auditions. Each Cheerleader/Dance candidate must also wear a two-piece dance outfit consisting of a crop top, black fitted dance shorts, and proper dance shoes. Do not wear any jazz pants. Also, please have your hair and make-up fully audition ready! Think of it in terms of grooming yourself to prepare to perform for the big game! Keep in mind ladies, you will be evaluated on your dance performance as well as your overall appeal and appearance. So look your very best for the auditions. A professional photographer may be present onsite to snap those fabulous promotional pictures of all of you throughout the day, so looking glamorous is essential.
Upon registering online, the UNGL will be emailing you a Welcome Letter requesting the following:
- Recent photo
- Signed release form
Please include a signed release form. The release form will be via email to
you upon receipt of your application. Please contact our staff if you did
not receive your release form. Once you agree with the terms and conditions
this will allow your photo(s) taken and/or published within the UNGL or
other affiliates, as well as, your permission to use your image in websites auditions,
publications such as newspapers, magazines used exclusively for promotional
and marketing purposes for candidates and/or cheerleaders/dancers of the UNGL.
All dance candidates will receive scores based on an accurate point system. This will be an evaluation not just on dance skills, but other key factors as well. Your overall performance will also be evaluated on other dance tasks, and will be observed on how well you take direction from Directors and Choreographers. Total scores will be calculated and tallied up at the end of the auditions. Candidates will not have access to their total score at that time. Just some friendly tips: Dancers always feed off each other’s adrenaline, and high energy level. Keep an open mind, stay positive and just GO FOR IT! Most of all, we want to see you showcase your talent, have fun, and just shine!
The Directors and Choreographers will be conducting several levels and rotation rounds of dance assessments. The cheerleader/dance candidates will be required to learn each leveled routine(s) taught by a choreographer and demonstrate their learning and performing skills in front of a judging panel for evaluation. The dance candidate will be "completion status" once the candidate has auditioned in front of the judging panel scored in all categories. Once the candidate has been evaluated in all categories, all of the judge's decisions and scores are FINAL.
Cheerleader/Dance candidates who are selected for the final squads of your home state team will be announced on the same day following the closing of auditions. So stick around, the excitement will be building!
Please make sure you submit all of your current and updated email addresses(s) and phone numbers on your application to the UNGL. This will make it much easier to notify you if you cannot be present following the auditions on January 24, 2010.

UNGL will be held harmless for any damages or injuries incurred by any of the participants at this audition. All participants will be required to sign a "medical waiver" releasing the UNGL from all liabilities.
